More?: In real life, I’m rather quiet unless you can corner me into a conversation. I love to chatter, but I don’t do very well in large groups of people. You’ll usually see me standing in some out-of-the-way area. I will talk your ear off if you give me half a chance, though. I’ll often also be seen shadowing my 6 ft 6 in husband, who is extremely outgoing.

During the school year, I’m a teacher of 1st – 3rd grade at a small private school. It happens to be the same school my husband and I both graduated from. If you count my first teaching experience (which was 6 months teaching Speaking English to children in Ghana, W. Africa), I’ve taught for 4 years, and I’m planning on making this year my 5th year.

One of my undying passions is called “The Sentinels”. The Sentinels of Mossflower, to be more specific. It is an online club based on the Redwall series by Brian Jacques. I started it in 1998 at the age of 14. Eight years later, I’m still running it and loving every minute of it. Many of my online aliases have come from Role Playing in my club and others like it. The club as also inspired me to write my first book series, which is based on many of my RPing adventures over the last 8 years. I’ve finished the first draft of the first book, which is a major accomplishment for me.

The Sims is obviously another passion. I was introduced to the Sims in December 2000, when I spent a few weeks staying with my cousins in New Jersey. They had the original Sims game and gave me a chance to play it while I was there. I was addicted, but had to wait quite a while before I could get a copy of my own. We had a Mac at the time, and the game wasn’t available for a Mac… Eventually, we got Windows and I got the game and many of it’s expansions. I was thrilled when I heard of Sims2 coming out, but I wasn’t sure if our computer (which was a dinosaur by that point) would handle it, so I hesitated in buying it. Much to my joy, my best friend (who would later become my husband) bought it for my birthday, and my dad (the computer geek of the family) said it should work with our computer. The game was slow and choppy, but I was delighted anyway. The computer situation now, though not ideal, is good enough for Sims2.

My husband and I are also distributors with a company called Market America. While we offer a huge array of products, my primary focus has been on the Isotonix and Transitions line. Isotonix is our vitamin line, which I find essential during the school year to keep sickness at bay. It also helps to keep under control skin condition I’ve had since a child. The Transitions line is our weightloss/lifestyle system. I’ve struggled with my weight since my early teens (as has my hubby), but thanks to Transitions, both of us are losing weight and getting healthier. Hubby’s lost over 50 lbs at this point! Now if we could just come up with a product to help with my bad back pain! :-D

Well, there you have it. All about me!
